Normanton have been supplying the commercial vehicle building industry for over 30 years and have developed from simple body and lining panel manufacture to become undoubtedly the UK's leading supplier of panel related products and solutions, in particular bulkhead, floor and door systems, to the entire spectrum of body builders from the largest high payload semi-trailers to the most lightweight and compact urban delivery vehicles. 

In keeping with our market leading position we have opened a dedicated fabrication and assembly facility of some 18,000 square feet and invested in a unique test facility, designed in house to allow us, as part of our ongoing quality assurance and product development commitment, to conduct the most thorough bespoke product testing specifically geared to industry requirements and regulatory standards.

Flush Doors

• Smooth, flat surfaces providing uninterrupted area for signwriting, logo's and decals as well as for ease of cleaning
• 34 Euro-pallet loading capacity on 13.7m trailers
• Significant operational and aesthetic advantages over traditional door panels
• Lightweight panel options available - significant weight saving offering greater payload capacity
• Fully fabricated ready to hang for ease of fitting by the body builder. Detailed fitting instructions and drawings available
• Single or double locking rods
• Conventional or recessed handles
• Fully enclosed giving reduced susceptibility to corrosion
• Pre-painted to specification and/or fitted with anodised aluminium extrusions

Ready-to-hang Barn Doors

• Bespoke supplied door panels to customer specification
• Pre-cut to suit the customer's frame aperture size
• Factory fitted door gasket sets
• Pre-assembled locking mechanisms, hinges, fasteners or other specified door furniture
• Bi-folding Triple/Quarter/Multi-leaf options for side door and/or restricted working space applications

Flooring

• Range of slip resistant, heavy duty treadplates in both low and high pattern depths and base thicknesses including 5 Bar, 2 Bar, Barley Seed/Rice Grain, Triple Grip and Cricket Weave
• Smooth or slip resistant Mesh patterned phenolic faced plywood for lighter duty applications. Various mesh film weights and plywood substrate thicknesses.
• NEW slip resistant "Powerdeck Grip" range with high grip polyurethane coating, available to order with bespoke film weight, finished texture and even colour and on a wide range of substrate types and thicknesses to customer specification.

Plymetal Panel Blanks

• Hardwood Far Eastern or Birch plywood substrate
• Primed or pre painted aluminium and/or galvanised steel facings as standard
• Other facing options such stainless steel or GRP on request

Lightweight

• 3 element composite with lightweight foam/honeycomb core and range of facing options
• 5-element construction; inner foam core, two plywood rigidising impact protection layers plus required facings
• Combines rigidity and reduced weight
• Range of weights, thicknesses, facings and specifications.

Insulated

• 3 or 5-element foam based construction with thickness to customer specification
• Strengthening inserts as required for furniture fastening points
• Provides required insulation properties for refrigerated vehicles
• Choice of facings

Colour Matching

• Almost all panels can be provided in fully painted finishes
• Available from stock colours or matched to your own specification
