Everyone at Normanton goes out of their way to deal with all and any matters for our customers and other partners. Below is our rogues gallery to help you "put the face to the name" and know a little more about us.

Nick Oates  BSc(Hons) Mech Eng

Graduated in engineering and with a background from high volume manufacturing to venture capital and corporate finance, Nick joined Normanton as an investor in 1996 when he facilitated the acquisition of AB Bonding Company Ltd. Shortly after he joined the team full time and has never escaped since, generally involving himself in most things though being a bit of a grumpy old man probably does not make the best salesman for the Company. Outside Normanton he suffers from Peter Pan syndrome, still attempting to play rugby and squash and on sunny days riding cautiously about on his big old motorbike.

David Smith

Started his working life at Normanton and has since seen and (claims to have) done most things from the shop floor and on through sales to become instrumental in taking the Company into private ownership in 1991. Being more affable in nature he focuses on looking after our key customers and of course occasionally trying to find new ones. After (so many!) years at Normanton he is widely known and experienced particularly in the commercial vehicle market, still the mainstay of the business. Away from Normanton, Dave tells a good tale of fishing, cars and caravans and is adamant he will one day step in an aeroplane.
